A Year of Growth, Achievement, and Shared Success

As I reflect on this past year, I am struck by how often East Campus has given all of us reasons to celebrate. From remarkable enrollment momentum to national championship performances, this community continues to demonstrate what is possible when talent, commitment, and opportunity meet.

This past fall, East Campus experienced significant enrollment growth, surpassing even the substantial increases we saw across the district. This progress reflects not only the strength of our programs but also the dedication of the faculty, staff, and advisors who work tirelessly to support every student who chooses Black Hawk College. Your efforts are being noticed and making a profound difference.

And of course, our competitive teams once again proved why East Campus is recognized nationwide. Bringing home national titles in both livestock judging and equine events is no small achievement. These students and coaches continue to raise the bar, and I will admit that I’ve taken more than a little pride in sharing these results with former colleagues in Oklahoma and Texas—especially a certain institution that finished just behind us. Friendly competition aside, these wins speak volumes about the excellence cultivated here.

As we build on this momentum, our priorities remain clear: expanding opportunities, strengthening programs, and providing the kind of supportive, high-quality education that changes lives. East Campus has a long tradition of excellence, and this year has reaffirmed that its best days are still ahead.
